INTRODUCTION AND PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Approximately 6,600 SF early childhood education and childcare facility, plus site improvements and FF&E
- Total project budget: approximately $2.0–$2.5 million
- Funded by the federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), supported by ARP and CCDBG discretionary funds
- Single contract — progressive design-build with accelerated delivery
- Target construction completion and turnover: March 2027
- Questions Due: June 23, 2026
- Responses Issued: June 24, 2026
- Proposals Due: Monday, June 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time
The Request for Proposals and all supporting materials — site assessments, surveys, maps, conceptual design elements, reference standards, and any issued addenda — are available in the public Google Drive folder: Walker River Childcare Facility — RFP Materials. It is each proposer’s responsibility to check the folder for addenda before the proposal due date.
This is a federally funded procurement. Responding firms must meet 2 CFR Part 200 requirements, federal bonding (5% bid guarantee / 100% performance / 100% payment), SAM.gov registration, and the Walker River Paiute Tribe TERO ordinance (3% fee). The scoring rubric includes a 10-point preference for Native/Tribal ownership and management. Tribal, MWBE, and Native-preference firms are strongly encouraged to respond.
