COVID-19 Updates
March 17, 2020
We know that this is a really tough time for child care programs all across Indian Country and our nation as a whole. Today, we are writing to you to ask you to tell us your story and share with us your needs. We are at a critical juncture for being able to educate our leadership at the national level in both policy and funding, but we need your story to help shape the discourse and solutions.
Please take a few minutes to share your story about how COVID-19 is affecting your programs and services, children, and families. This is a critical moment to ensure that Tribal needs are being met and we need your urgent response. Please share widely across your network because we need to know how all services are faring — from centers to home-based care.
Are you a home-based provider or a relative care provider? Please share your story with us today! There may be special opportunities for these providers to receive additional support, but we have to be able to share the need.
NICCA is poised to support you in any way we can. If you have specific needs or questions, please reach out to us. We are here to help you and/or connect you with the resources that are already available.
You can stay abreast of what’s happening on our COVID-19 news page, including information on the business supports available.
If you haven’t already joined our network exclusively for Tribal early care and education professionals on Facebook, it is a great resource for connecting amongst providers serving Tribal children and families. As always, follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the latest information.
For official COVID-19 information and information on how to stay safe, look to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
Stay safe, distanced, and well.
