Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada to host 10th Annual Native American Youth Leadership Conference

(Sparks, Nev.) — Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, Inc. announced today the 10th Annual Native American Youth Leadership Conference will be held August 4-7, 2013. The conference will be held at the University of Nevada, Reno’s historic 4-H Camp, located on a sprawling 32 acres in South Lake Tahoe.

“Owned and operated by the University of Nevada, the camp has a rich tradition as a setting for youth to live and learn at Lake Tahoe. The diverse forest, meadow and beach ecosystems provide an unparalleled opportunity for outdoor environmental education (http://www.unce.unr.edu/4H/camp/).”

ITCN chose this space for its beauty and valuable learning opportunities for Nevada’s Native American youth.

This event is open to all Native American youth who are entering 7th – 12th grades for the 2013-14 school year.

Registration is $95, and includes lodging for three nights, all meals, and planned cultural activities and recreation. There is also a one-time registration fee of $55 for all chaperones. Chaperones must be over the age of 25. Registration and payment is due by July 15, 2013 by 4:00 p.m., to secure attendance.

Space is limited, so participants are urged to submit all required registration forms and payment, as soon as possible
